The pitch
A smith's hammer comes out of the dark, and the forge throws one pool of light over the anvil. Once the hammer enters the light, it lands. Ring true the moment it strikes and hold still for everything else: the feint that hangs in the dark, a coin that catches the fire, tongs somebody drops, a rhythm set so you will guess.
Flinch, ring early or give under a blow and the anvil tilts; three tilts end the shift. Between pieces you bank what you hold or ride it for more. The ten shifts follow a personal code of ten tenets, each opening with the tenet in full.

How to play
- Press any key, click, tap, or press any gamepad button the moment the hammer strikes the work.
- Once the hammer is inside the forge light it is coming down. Feints stay in the dark.
- Hold still for the coin, the falling tongs and the rhythm. Holding still pays too.
- Between pieces, tap to bank what you hold, or stay still to ride the multiplier up to x6.
- Outlast the hammer. A flinch, an early ring or a missed blow tilts the anvil; three tilts end the shift.
Controls
Any key rings the anvil. P pauses.
