The pitch

Tadka puts you behind a one-flame curry stall with a counter of hungry customers and a clock on the night. Each of ten spices tempers in its own narrow heat window, and each breaks one rule: mustard pops, chili flashes, onion takes its time, tomato drops the oil temperature, turmeric never burns.

Black pepper cracks. A clean peppercorn flip sets off THE CRACK, which bursts the pan, turns heads at the counter and jumps the till. The night's take goes into your kitchen for the next run.

How to play

  1. Hold heat to raise the flame into the pale band for the spice you are cooking.
  2. Press act to drop the spice in.
  3. Press act again at the top of the bloom to flip it. Too early is raw, too late burns.
  4. Serve what the counter is asking for. A wrong dish pays half and waiting customers walk.
  5. Land clean pepper flips for THE CRACK, then bank the night into your kitchen.

Keyboard and mouse
